About the Play
This powerful drama chronicles the true story of the ten Boom family, who sacrificed themselves to save 800 Jews during the Holocaust in 1940s Holland.
When an old watchmaker and his spinster daughters find their world turned upside down during the Nazi invasion, they become unlikely members of the Dutch Resistance and begin the dangerous mission of helping their Jewish friends and neighbors. But when the Nazis discover the operation, Corrie and Betsie are sent to the dreaded Ravensbrück concentration camp, which is where a remarkable story of love and the power of forgiveness is revealed.
Based on the best-selling book "The Hiding Place" by Corrie ten Boom with John and Elizabeth Sherrill, this true story has been moving hearts across the globe for over 50 years. This new adaptation was done by our in-house nationally award-winning playwright, Molly Ishmael.
